The Forum is inviting everyone to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by learning how immigration has shaped our country — and by urging Congress to pass fair, firm, and compassionate immigration solutions, in alignment with 72% of Americans.
“One of the best ways to celebrate a historic moment is to learn from our history and to make more history together,” said Forum President and CEO Jennie Murray. “As you mark America’s 250th birthday, please take a few minutes to better appreciate the impact immigrants and immigration have had and is having on our history, culture and economy.
“Then urge Congress to make history by passing fair, firm and compassionate immigration solutions. Our immigration system urgently needs to be modernized.”
Immigration has been portrayed as polarizing. Yet recent opinion polls show an overwhelming consensus for fair, restitution-based immigration solutions.
