INTRODUCTION

The National Immigration Forum respects each individual’s right to personal privacy. We will not share your information with any third-party organization without your explicit permission to do so. Personal information you provide is stored in a secure location and is accessible only by designated staff of and contractors for the National Immigration Forum and our database hosts. We will collect and use information through our website only in the ways disclosed in this statement.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USAGE

The National Immigration Forum collects two types of information: optional and/or voluntary information that users provide; and information that is automatically recorded in a standard, web server log file each time a page request is made.

Optional and/or voluntary information that you provide (such as your name, address, email, phone number or credit/debit card) is collected when you take action on a campaign, donation, signup or other page created within our system. This information belongs to the National Immigration Forum, and is not used by the National Immigration Forum for any purposes other than direct communication and aggregate statistics.

Our program participants may opt-in to receive program updates. Their mobile phone contact information will not be shared or sold to third parties for marketing purposes and will solely be used for program communications. The frequency of SMS messages may vary and message and data rates may apply. For more information and support related to SMS, participants may call (202) 347-0040.

The National Immigration Forum sends a variety of updates, alerts, releases, and other communications to persons who sign up for them on our website, who take other action on our website such as respond to an action, or who contact us directly.  Out of respect for the privacy of our users, we always present the option to unsubscribe from our communications.

The National Immigration Forum will not share with a third party any personally identifiable information without the express consent of users. Except with the National Immigration Forum Action Fund, our sister 501c4 who also abides by our strict privacy standards, we will not share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. At any time you can opt out of receiving information from the National Immigration Forum Action Fund.

The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations.

We do NOT collect personally identifying information that users divulge about other people, such as the information provided in our tell-a-friend feature.

The National Immigration Forum does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We may collect demographic data through automatic logging files in order to enhance the usefulness of our site.

A “cookie” is a small file assigning you a unique ID that is placed on your computer by a web server. Our web pages use cookies in order to identify the action taker and to make it easier to take subsequent actions.
